SB Blood Tube rotators

  • Fully adjustable mixing angle
  • Quick & easy loading and removal of tubes
  • Choice of two models
  • SB2 fixed speed at 20 rpm
  • SB3 variable speed with timer
  • Accessory tube holders to hold a number of different sized tubes
  • Accessory adapter SB3/DUAL available to accommodate additional tube holder

The Stuart rotators give gentle but effective mixing ideal for life sciences applications such as keeping blood samples in suspension. There are two models to choose from; the fixed speed SB2, or the more advanced SB3, which has variable speed control and a digital timer as standard. The angle of tilt is fully adjustable and with the addition of the recent angle selector, the optimum angle of mixing can be returned to should the angle require adjustment for any other application, providing consistent mixing. The Rotators can be used in incubators up to 60°C and in cold rooms down to 4°C.

There are six types of tube holder available which are easy to assemble without the need for tools.

They should be ordered separately from the Rotator.

There are three types of tube holder available giving end-over-end mixing:

SB3/1: Holds up to 40 x 1.5ml microcentrifuge tubes
SB3/2: Holds up to 20 x test-tubes or blood tubes, diameter from 9mm to 20mm
SB3/3: Holds up to 12 x 50ml centrifuge tubes

There are three racks designed for gentle rotational mixing of culture tubes:

SB3/4: Holds up to 63 x 12mm diameter tubes
SB3/5: Holds up to 63 x 16mm diameter tubes
SB3/6: Holds up to 30 x 26mm diameter tubes

An accessory adapter (SB3/DUAL) is also available to accommodate an additional tube holder. This allows the current tube capacity to be increased or accommodation of a different size of tube. The SB3/DUAL can be used with either the SB2 fixed speed or SB3 variable speed rotator.
