The Adam Printer is a compact thermal printer which is ideally suited for use with the Adam range of balances and scales.

This version records each individual weight value. The printer is controlled direct from the balance and is supplied with an RS-232 connector which enables it to be linked directly to the balances. As a general purpose printer it can be used with any RS-232 interface.

The Adam Printer will also record full calibration details in compliance with GLP requirements when used with the laboratory balances. When used with the PMB moisture analyser, the printer will record the % loss in weight at each preselected interval, and at the conclusion of the test prints a record of the test parameters.

ADAM DU (Data Utility) is an application that allows you to quickly and easily capture data from an ADAM Laboratory Balance or Weighing Scale and perform various functions on the collected readings.

ADAM DU can perform various tasks, such as graph the data, perform basic mathematical statistical analysis, export the readings to several common file formats. Also quickly export data to other applications (e.g. MS Excel, MS Word or the Windows Clipboard). ADAM DU also provides basic remote control of the balance/scale*.

ADAM DU can collect data from up to 8 different balances/scales simultaneously, each data collection session can be individually monitored, configured and customised to your requirements.

NEW FEATURE – Adam DU can also now speak the readings received. This is ideal if you want to stay informed of a scale`s progress whilst completing other tasks or maybe you might be visually impaired.

Hardware Requirements

There are no specific hardware requirements but the computer must be good enough to run one of the required operating systems below well. Note: obviously the more sessions and/or analysis functions you enable, the more processor & memory resources are used.

An RS-232 port is required on the computer to connect to the balance/scale and also a RS-232 Null Modem Cable (please see the user manual of your balance/scale for the exact wiring specification required). You can also use the computer`s USB port with the addition of a “RS-232 serial port to USB converter” (available at most computer stores).

 Operating System Requirements

ADAM DU will work on Windows 98SE*, Windows 2000*, Windows ME*, Windows XP* & Windows Vista – all operating systems should have the latest service packs & updates/security patches installed.

The Microsoft .NET v2 framework is also required for the software to run. This can be downloaded through Windows Update where available.

* These operating systems must also have a minimum of Windows Internet Explorer v6 service pack 1 and Microsoft Installer V2.

The security lock and cable for the PW, PGW and TBB ranges fits the built in lock attachment and loops around an object to secure your balance in place. The flexible steel cable is tough to cut through and the combination lock allows you to choose your own number for added security.
